– Screw-mounted curtain wire solution for convenient, secure curtain installation.
– Designed specifically for wooden window frames and other wooden surfaces.
– Suitable for widths up to 2 m: double-sash (A) or two single-sash frames (B).
– Simple installation – screw the capped plastic fittings to the frame and tension the curtain wire between them.
– The included plastic fittings feature domed caps.
What’s in the box?
– Curtain wire, Ø 4 mm, length 2 m — PVC-coated steel spring,
– Special zinc-plated steel screws, 20 mm,
– Corrosion-resistant, zinc-plated metal eyelet screws,
– Cylindrical plastic fittings with domed caps, made of UV-stabilised, temperature-resistant polyoxymethylene (POM).
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS AND VIDEO
– Make sure the curtain-wire solution is compatible with your window frame.,
– For installation you will need a tape measure, cutters/pliers, a PH1 Phillips screwdriver and an awl,
– Mark the desired height for the fittings on the frame,
– Screw the cylindrical plastic fittings to the frame at the marked points. For convenience, pre-thread the screws a few millimetres into the fitting (see photo),
– Screw an eyelet onto one end of the curtain wire and attach the eyelet behind the screw inside the plastic fitting (see photo).,
– Keeping very light tension (do not stretch), take the wire to the second fitting’s screw and measure the final length 5–6 cm shorter (see video). This minimises curtain wire centre sag.
– Screw an eyelet onto the other end and tension the curtain wire between the screws inside the fittings.
– Finally press the caps onto both cylindrical fittings — done!
