Curtain in place, frame intacT
– A unique clip-mounted curtain wire kit – install your curtains easily and safely without damaging the window frame!
– Designed specifically for Tilt-and-Turn windows in plastic or wood, with a frame edge thickness of 15–17 mm.
– Ideal for double-sash frames with a centre mullion (A) or two single-sash frames (B), with a total width up to 2 m.
– Installation requires no screws or glue when you follow our cut-to-length guidance for the wire.
– The included plastic fittings come with flat lids.
What’s in the box?
– Curtain wire, Ø 4 mm, length 2 m — PVC-coated steel spring,
– Special white steel mounting clips, Ø 1.7 mm,
– Corrosion-resistant zinc-plated eyelet screws,
– Cylindrical plastic fittings with flat lids, made of UV-stabilised and temperature-resistant polyoxymethylene (POM).
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS AND VIDEO
– Before installation, make sure the curtain-wire solution is compatible with your window frame,
– For installation you will need a tape measure and cutters/pliers,
– Measure and mark the desired mounting height for the clips on the frame,
– Measure the frame width and cut the curtain wire to the recommended length (see diagram),
– Screw the eyelets into both wire ends so that the threaded section remains inside the wire,
– Remove the lids from the cylindrical fittings and press the white metal clip into the groove at the base (see photo).
– First hook one clip (mounted in a cylindrical piece) behind the frame edge and attach the wire-end eyelet behind the clip. Keeping the wire lightly tensioned, hook the second clip (in the other cylindrical piece) behind the opposite frame edge and place the other eyelet behind the clip’s anchoring section (see photos).
– Note: First-time installations may benefit from an extra pair of hands, but overall the process is straightforward.
– Finally press the lids onto both cylindrical fittings — done!
